On March 9, 2016, 9.00 an international seminar "Main Challenges in the Baltic States and German Economies under the terms of the trade embargo with Russia and Greece Crisis" will take place at Faculty of Economics and Management (Univeristy of Latvia), Room 518, Aspazijas boulevard 5, Riga.

As the moderator of the seminar, Dr. Janis Priede (Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics and Management, University of Latvia) underlines: "The refugee policy currently dominates public life and media. Nevertheless, we should remind ourselves of the effect of sanctions against Russia and be aware of how the monetary policy of the euro area has changed extendedly during the Greek Crisis. A special focus of the seminar will be on the export and economic situation in each of the Baltic States. These three countries have been limited by the present restricted economic relations with Russia and they have a special role in Europe."
